Otizm ve Zihinsel Yetersizliği Olan Bireylerin Eğitiminde Yapay Zeka Araçlarına İlişkin Ebeveyn Görüşleri

Özet

Bu araştırmada otizm spektrum bozukluğu ve zihinsel yetersizliği olan bireylerin eğitiminde yapay zekâ araçlarının kullanımına ilişkin ebeveyn görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni ile yürütülen bu araştırmada, 13 ebeveynle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiş, verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre ebeveynler, yapay zekâ tabanlı eğitim araçlarını genel olarak duymalarına rağmen işlevleri ve eğitimde nasıl kullanılacağı konusunda sınırlı bilgiye sahiptir. Katılımcılar, yapay zekâ destekli araçların akademik becerileri destekleyebileceğini, bireyselleştirilmiş öğrenme imkanları sunabileceğini ve görsel-işitsel öğrenmeyi teşvik edebileceğini ifade etmiştir. Ancak yapay zekâ araçlarının maliyeti, güvenlik sorunları, bağımlılık riski ve altyapı eksikliği gibi konular ebeveynler tarafından endişe kaynağı olarak öne çıkarılmaktadır. Katılımcılar, yapay zekâ araçlarının etkili ve güvenli bir şekilde kullanımını sağlamak için ebeveynlerin bu konuda bilgilendirilmesi ve eğitimler düzenlenmesi gerektiğini vurgulamıştır. Araştırma bulguları, otizm ve zihin yetersizliği olan bireylerin eğitiminde yapay zekâ araçlarının entegrasyonuna yönelik ebeveyn farkındalığının artırılması, altyapı eşitsizliklerinin giderilmesi için mali destekler sağlanması ve ailelere yönelik güvenli teknoloji kullanımı eğitimlerini içeren politikaların geliştirilmesi gerektiğini ortaya koymaktadır.
