Özet

Bu çalışmayla farklı öğretim strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerinin kullanımının bilimsel süreç becerileri üzerindeki etkililiğine yönelik yapılmış birbirinden bağımsız araştırmalardan elde edilen sonuçların birleştirilmesi ve elde edilen bu sonucun çeşitli değişkenler açısından anlamlı bir fark gösterip göstermediğini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın temel sorusu “Öğretim strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerinin bilimsel süreç becerileri üzerindeki etkileri nedir?” şeklinde ifade edilmiş ve sorunun cevaplanması için meta analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Hangi araştırmaların çalışmaya dahil edileceğine dair kriterler belirlenmiştir. Bu kriterlere dayalı olarak “Web of Science” veri tabanı taranarak 29 deneysel araştırma çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda farklı öğretim strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerinin kullanımının bilimsel süreç becerileri açısından olumlu yönde etkilediği, bu etkililik düzeyinin öğretim kademesine ve öğretim stratejisine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermezken yayınlanan ülkeye göre anlamlı bir farklılık oluşturduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
